Ron Holmes concentrates his practice in the areas of consumer bankruptcy law and small business bankruptcies. He serves clients throughout the state of New Mexico.

A native New Mexican, Mr. Holmes grew up in Alamogordo. He earned his J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1996, and his B.A. in Political Science and Economics also from the University of New Mexico in 1991.

Mr. Holmes currently serves on the Bankruptcy Section Board of Directors from 2001 to 2010 and again in 2013 to present, has served as Secretary and is the past Chairman of the Board (2004). Mr. Holmes is also a former Bankruptcy Trustee. Mr. Holmes received the New Mexico State Bar’s Outstanding Contribution Award in 2003 and the Robert H. LaFollette Pro Bono Award in 2010, which is the equivalent to a lifetime achievement award.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Holmes is an active licensed real estate broker and Realtor® and the Qualifying Broker for Stetson Realty.

Mr. Holmes is the current treasurer for the Federal Bar Association New Mexico Chapter, the past Chair for the Board of Directors for the J. Reuben Clark Law Society Albuquerque Chapter and a member of the Greater Albuquerque Area Board of Realtors and a long member of the Albuquerque Bar Association. Mr. Holmes enjoys playing indoor and outdoor soccer on the weekends. Finally and most importantly, Mr. Holmes’ proudest moments and achievements are are both brought about and shared because of his five wonderful children and wife, Crystal.
